Students registered for Advanced Algebra CC (Algebra 2) for the 2026 - 2027 school year are in great need of a prep course more than ever to retract/learn skills needed to be successful in Algebra 2. While there has always been an algebra gap with geometry being taken before Algebra 2, very few algebra skills are used regularly in geometry. Currently Algebra 1 is taught primarily on DESMOS to maximize EOC/Milestones test scores instead of building a firm understanding of algebra mechanics and the tie-in to concepts. Students are starting Algebra 2 with a deficit and struggling due to the high stakes testing of Algebra 1 impeding their Algebra foundation for Algebra 2.
This course is a one week only, Monday - Thursday class that is a 2 hour block each day (8 hours total). It is small group with up to 6 students, and it is designed to be more affordable for parents and allow for more students to get help. All students in the group come in with the same needs and are preparing for the same course next year.
Courses run weekly starting the week of June 8, 2026

This course is critical for students moving from on-level Algebra 2 to AP Pre-calculus for the 2026-2027 school year. The content cover in an Algebra 2 On-Level course is not foundational enough to be successful in AP Pre-Calculus even though it is listed as an acceptable pre-requisite course. From my teaching and tutoring experience with helping students in on-level Algebra 2, I can confidently say this course would allow for students to better bridge the gap when taking AP Pre-Calculus.
This course can also help current Algebra 2 Honors students who have struggled this year build their foundational Algebra 2 content for AP Pre-Calculus next year.
Courses run weekly starting the week of June 15, 2026. Course length is one week only and runs Monday-Thursday for 2 hours per day. Classes are up to 6 students and the rates are below.

This course is for students who have already finished AP Pre-Calculus and are planning on taking AP Calculus AB or BC during the 2026-2027.
This class will take a deep - dive review of functions and their limits previewing the first unit in AP Calculus with the knowledge they already have from AP Pre-Calculus. The AP Pre-Calculus foundation in limits will be tied into the second part of the limits unit. This will complete the first AP Calculus unit and be ready for the beginning of AP Calculus in Fall 2026. An intro into derivatives may also be included if time permits!
